Subject:Bought the tickets...time to fly
Time:1:29 pm.

So, I bought my tickets to Wisconsin to meet up with my aunt and uncle. Then, we are flying out to Vietnam to begin my journey to find myself. I'm scared and excited at the same time. Who knows what this trip will bring?

On another note, I finally uploaded new pics from New York-30th birthday, San Francisco trip, and Halloween: http://www.fotki.com/madmonkay.

Thought of the day: Sometimes when you look at other things going on in your life, the problems you thought were so bad...really isn't that bad.

Subject:Star Wars: Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith
Time:11:05 am.

Hey, I love Star Wars like every other American. I watched the first three..well technically the last three a thousand times. I almost can recite each scene and wanted to be Luke Skywalker when I was a kid. Now comes the final installment to the Star Wars phenomenon. Its supposed to be the darkest of the last three. Episode 1 sucked and 2 sucked a little. Episode 3 was better, but still led to disappointment to me. I think it was because I already knew Anakin was going to be bad. There was no more mystery and magic like the first ones. People told me it was great. Maybe it was the hype that people said it was so great. Okay, maybe its because we found out how exactly Darth got his black digs. Maybe, it was for the 20 minute long lightsaber battles. Maybe, it was for the corny dialogue and non-existent love story. Hmm, maybe it was because there was no Jar Jar Binks. Maybe, it was just not that good.

Here's my review if you care:

Subject:Trip to Krypton
Time:3:34 pm.

So, I decided I am going to Krypton to see my biological Dad for the first time ~ ever. It was a decision that I was struggling with for the past 3 or 4 years. For those who don't know, I am originally from Planet Krypton. My spaceship crashed in the fields of Maryland and my new parents adopted me after they found me as a small baby. I learned of my super powers at a young age as I found out that I was not like other normal humanites. Yes, I was indeed different from others...

Of course, I'm just kidding. Although my story is believable, here's the real deal.

Vietnam - 1975
Gunshots, helicopters, and the sounds of bombs can be heard in the distance. Here was a young woman in her early 20s, pregnant with her first child, fleeing from danger at a time when death and poverty ran through her country. She fled with her family, her husband - a doctor in the South Vietnamese Army had to stay behind and serve his country. While she was sad and crying she had to leave fearing her child would be fatherless. However, her true love was not the man she married. This marriage was an arranged marriage by her parents. Her true love was a humble man, a farmer boy who had to face the consequences of possibly never seeing her again...

As she fled the country she grew up in, like many other refugees she feared what her future may hold. Will she die? Will her child survive? Think about a twenty-three year old pregnant woman fleeing the only country she every lived in with no money, a man to support her, an building a new life by herself - alone.

After fleeing on a boat, she ends up in Guam where US has a military base and camps set up for refugees. Tired, dirty, and sick she stayed there awaiting a sponser to bring her to the land of opportunity. She feared her son would come out deformed or mentally challenged due to the unsafe, unsanitary conditions she was living in at the camp.

Soon, her whole family was sponsored over to Pennsylvania by a kind-hearted older couple. I thank God for them everyday because I would have never arrived safely in a clean hospital. My mom calls me the Lucky Son because I made it through the war with her and was the reason why she wanted to live. She wanted to commit suicide and end her life a few times, fearing that she could not live on. But, she says that I was inside her womb almost giving her the motivation to move on.

I was born on September 25, 1975 in Palmerton Pennsylvania. Pretty far from Krypton, yes...but nonetheless the United States of America was my new home. 2 years past and my mom is raising a child by herself. She still feels depressed and tired that she must do so on her own. How can she raise a child without a father? Here is where the story gets a little twist made for the movies.

In France, a young man had made his way out of Vietnam also after the war. He lived with his sister and began to work odd jobs. One day, he was reading a Vietnamese paper and saw my mom's family's business advertisement in the paper. He couldn't believe it and he attempted to contact her. He finally contacted her as they talked. He flew to Virginia, where she was residing at the time to be with her. This young man was no other than her True Love. He flew there knowing she already had a son, but he didn't care. He loved her too much and now was the time they could be together. I was 2 at the time. This young man took me in like a son, never treated me differently. My mom and her love thought that it was best not to tell me about my past at such a young age. I might not understand and it might be too hard for me. I found out when I turned 17, after graduating high school. It was raining hard that day and I was messing up in school. Getting into trouble, not attending class, and I didn't care much for school. As the rain was pouring, we sat in my car and she told me the TRUTH. Everything that had happened. My dad is really my step-dad, my brother and sister are my half siblings. As the rain poured, so did my tears and the life that I thought I was living. It was washing away like it never existed. I felt lost, hurt, sad, angry, and confused at the same time. All kinds of emotions were overwhelming my system. I was thinking of why my real dad stayed in Vietnam and didn't come with us. Did he not want me? I was young and stupid to think that. Now, years later I look back and am proud to be his son. He sacrificed a lot and was a good man from what I hear. He was a smart man. He wrote to me after I graduated college, explaining what happened and the decision not to tell me. He was happy for me and my mom, and that my step-dad took care of us. He was not angry, just relieved that we have a great life. I think back and want to cry...because he is a great man just like my step-dad. I am no longer bitter and angry - I am happy because I have two great dads that I can look up to. I am at peace with myself for the first time in months.

We played cards one weekend...a lil bit of Hold'em and then Presidents. You know where you got a VP and the last place person is the A-hole. Its a good, friendly drinking game. So, once again I made up a fitting punishment for the A-hole. You know, to make the game more interesting. The loser had to wear my Halloween wig.

My Brother was the first victim..and stayed with it for a while...

Subject:Mindless TV ... World's Strongest Boy
Time:4:32 pm.
Mood: blank.

Yeah, I fell for the commercial about Richard Sandrak, World's Strongest Boy. Man, this kid is insane. If you watched it, you would know or if you seen him on magazines...its crazy.

"Richard Sandrak, Little Hercules, is 12 years old and packs 100lbs onto his 4' 10" frame. He boasts measurements of 35" chest, 12" biceps and 19" thighs"

What? I think he could bench like 210lbs, when he weighed 70lbs...that's 3 times his own weight. They say he's pound for pound the strongest human. The parents trained him real young, like 2 or something like that. Of course he takes some supplements, but I just don't see a boy's body to develop like that...he needs a bunch of testosterone to build that physique. Who knows...its just a little disturbing to me.

Subject:Cracking me up
Time:11:01 am.

I was driving from DC back to Maryland the other day and a ROCK flew from some truck and smacks right into my windshield on the driver's side. Okay...nothing happened yet. Spoke too soon. The small crack started moving and got bigger. It looked as if it was alive! I was imagining the crack to go from the driver's side all the way across to the other side and the glass breaks as a furious rush of wind blasts into my face and glass fragments cutting at my face... Man, I have a wild imagination.

So, the glass guy is coming to my work to replace the front windshield and I think its gonna be like 400 bucks and I have a 200 dollar deductible. Oh well...that's life.

Subject:The Internet is EVIL
Time:2:53 pm.

Today, my new gear comes in from Finish Line.com. I swear that the Internet is evil. Shopping online is too convenient because you can shop right from work. I'm a sucker for new kicks and I had to get the new S. Carter's all whites. Sassy didn't want me to buy another pair of AF1s so I got the next thing closest to it! I'm so bad.

Then, I got suckered into spending a little more money because if you spend 90 bucks, then shipping is free. So, I bought a Yao Ming retro jersey as well. Man, they sucked me in and juiced me. I have no self control...

Time:4:17 pm.
Mood: content.

I love this time of year. X-mas time. Who can hate on getting gifts, giving gifts, spreading joy, and the only time of year when people are nicer to each other for the sake of it. The gifts are great, but its the time to spend with family and loved ones. Its the time of year you always will remember and cherish. I'm already getting in the X-mas spirit. Sassy and I bought a mini-town and train (with train tracks) for her house. It has everything, a few houses, a school house, and train station...even the little people. I was thinking of making a China town or the "hood" but I don't think they sell that anywhere.

Subject:Who's better looking overall?
Time:10:39 am.

We had a conversation over the weekend about who is better looking overall... I say Tom Cruise, but my girlfriend says Michael Douglas. My brother says Douglas also. THey say he has that certain something, and Tom Cruise looks like he might be a tool in person.

Tom Cruise or Michael Douglas...

Who do you think is better looking?
